Benny D'Amico

Our founder Benny D'Amico emmigrated from Italy as a young boy and became involved in the optical field while still attending St. Michael's College School. In the early sixties there was a lack of optical service in the Italian community. Mr. D'Amico's desire to fill that void resulted in his becoming the first Italian-heritage Optician in Ontario. He officially established Roma Optical in 1968 in the Dufferin/Eglinton area. Mr. D'Amico has dedicated his career to providing the best in eye care and service especially to the Italian community.

Margaret Soncin
Margaret joined Roma Optical in 1974 after having worked in the lens manufacturing industry. An optician since 1977, she has shared Mr. D’Amico’s passion for superior customer care and maintaining the highest quality for our clients. Margaret also speaks Italian.

Enzo D'Amico
Just like his dad, Enzo's involvement in the optical industry started early- first as a part-timer and eventually as a Licensed Optician (after having earned awards of merit for superior achievement in Seneca's Opticianry program). He has re-invigorated the family business with ideas that keep us ahead of this ever-changing field.

Jennifer D'Amico
Making it a family affair, Jennifer joined Roma Optical in 2006. Already having earned degrees in Finance & Business, Jennifer is adding to her list of accomplishments as Licensed Optician. She brings a fresh fashion sense to the business.

Angelo D'Amico
Joining the team in 2007, Angelo rounds out the family roster. Also coming to Roma after receiving degrees in Business & Graphic Design, Angelo will join the rest of the family as an Optician, dedicated as we all are in superior customer service.
